RPS Advocacy Summit

We are working with the Richmond Public Schools Interfaith Advisory Council to host an Advocacy Summit on Thursday, December 8th, from 9-11am at Movement Church, located at 4301 Patterson Ave. This training is open to both faith leaders and members of their congregations. Coffee and pastries will be provided.

For Richmond desires to help Christian leaders move towards transformational engagement in our city. One of the ways we can do that is learning how to advocate for the needs of students in under-resourced communities.

At the summit, Matthew Stanley, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at RPS, will provide an overview of their two to three policy priorities for the coming General Assembly session, along with sharing specific strategies, talking points, and next steps for engaging your elected officials. Participants will walk away from the session feeling confident in their ability to directly communicate with state legislators to advocate on behalf of RPS.

Please RSVP, if possible, to Meghan Waters at meghan@forrichmond.org, or by using the button below.
