Helping the Homeless

For Richmond has invited Richmond City’s Homeless Services Liaison, Dianne Wilmore, to provide an update to churches on efforts to provide shelter to the homeless during inclement weather. As you may know, the city greatly increased capacity at its shelters this year but during the recent cold snap, the need exceeded capacity and some individuals had to be turned away. This is an opportunity for churches to learn about how they could help in extreme weather situations – whether it be simply providing goods or volunteers, or opening their church as a shelter. You’ll also learn about training resources for your church. Join us on Zoom on Thursday, Feb. 1st from 12-12:45 pm. Register using the form below to receive the Zoom link.
